The Parker Media Lab and Multimedia Center support the instruction and research needs of UNH's faculty and students by providing facilities, collections and expertise for researching, viewing and producing a wide range of media. The Multimedia Center's media collection comprises more than 7,500 DVD's and 4,500 videotapes, as well as audiotapes, CDs, and CD-ROMs. Subjects range from the American Film Institute's Top 100 movies of all time and popular television series, to foreign language films and videotapes of public lectures, Commencement, Convocation and other UNH events. The Multimedia Center also provides equipment, including digital cameras, camcorders and audio recorders. Individual stations and a conference room are available for viewing videos in a variety of formats. The Parker Media Lab has multimedia stations and expert support for digitizing and editing audio, video, scanning and manipulating images, and creating presentations. This facility is equipped to provide for repair, duplication, transfer, conversion and preservation of media materials in most popular audio and video formats. |
